In keeping with our Halloween Month theme, today we read Jack-oOOOoo-Lantern and What is Halloween? . The children were captivated by the shapes of the eyes, nose, and expressions of the Jack-o’-Lanterns. We also touched on Trick or Treat through the picture books, helping them understand what happens during Halloween.
When we think of 🎃Halloween🎃, usually the colors orange and black come to mind… However, when we let the children freely choose colored paper to decorate their baskets, none of them picked orange (ﾟДﾟ;)💦. Instead, they chose blue, light blue, green, pink, and yellow. They carefully tore the colored paper they chose with their fingers, applied glue with their index fingers, and gently pasted it onto milk cartons.
Next, the children chose one facial expression from Jack-oOOoo-Lantern with square, triangle, star-shaped, or crescent-shaped eyes and mouths. Then, they pasted it onto their beautifully decorated baskets. Finally, they added their favorite stickers, such as hearts💗, dots, and stars🌟, to complete their work.
Tearing the paper, spreading glue with their fingers, peeling off the backing of stickers, and sticking them on… Through these series of fine motor movements, each child created their own unique and expressive 🎃Jack-o’-Lantern🎃 ~ヾ(≧▽≦)ﾉ👏👏👏
For our active play time, we did a light warm-up with ♬ Ebikanics and ♬ Baby Shark. After that, we played in the ball pit! ٩( ”ω” )و🌟🌟🌟.
The Toddler class was completely absorbed in fingerprinting 👆. The colorful leaves are filling up the paper. It truly feels like autumn (´ω｀)🍂🍃🍁.
It’s the second week of English Fun Time~ (＝ﾟωﾟ)ﾉ🎉🎉🎉 The teachers were really impressed by how the Toddler and Infant students were already picking up English by listening and starting to speak. Everyone received a lot praised a lot! More than anything, both the children and the teachers seemed to be having a great time~ ٩( ”ω” )و✨✨✨
