Starting in January, we welcomed new friends into the Infant class. Today, something seems to be making the classroom turn bright red ٩( ”ω” )و❓

Yes, the children are hard at work creating Daruma dolls for the book ‘Daruma-san ga’. This is a beloved picture book. ‘Da-ru-ma-sa-n-ga…’ ‘Dote!’ The expressive Daruma dolls, along with the rhythmic and fun phrases, are part of one of the most requested read-alouds.

The children are carefully tearing small pieces of construction paper, spreading glue on the Daruma’s body, and sticking each piece with great attention to detail. Their expressions during this task are full of focus.

The process is divided into three steps. We’re excited to see the finished creations～ヾ(≧▽≦)ﾉ✨✨✨

At 🌹RRIS🌹 and 🌹RRCD🌹, there’s a bit of a trend with the pool sticks, which are used for physical play. With some creativity from the teachers, these versatile materials can be adapted in so many ways. They’re being put to great use in both the classroom and the hall. Let’s have fun and move our bodies while we play～(*”▽”)🌟🌟🌟
