When I picked up the picture book 「The Feelings of Mochi」, a parent exclaimed, “Oh, that’s from the author of The Ear Cleaning Master!” That’s right! 「The Feelings of Mochi」 is part of the series by the author of 「The Ear Cleaning Master」. The story is told from the perspective of mochi, being pounded with a pestle, torn and rolled into balls, and covered in sweet red bean paste or roasted soybean flour. It’s a delightful picture book that captures the mochi’s feelings. 「Mochi Pounding」 was a huge hit with the children. The vibrant photos in Lucky! 「The Mysterious Power of Good Luck Charms」 and 「012 Seasons and Events」 were also very popular (*”▽”)✨✨✨

🎨 Art & Craft 🐍
・Twirling Snake Kite
Materials: Drawing paper, crayons, hemp string

👆 Objectives
①Enjoy the sensation of rubbing paper and materials
②Experience the fun of coloring and watching the colors spread
③Foster creativity and imagination
④Promote the development of fine motor skills

First choose your favorite piece of paper and then draw freely with any color crayon. Don’t worry if you go outside the lines. It doesn’t matter if the colors get mixed up and you can’t tell what color they turned into. Just let loose and create, following your heart and instincts.
Once it’s finished, cut it out from the paper, thread some twine through it, and gather in the playground!

Afterward, the children ran around with their kites, climbed the mound, and peeked through the gate at the outside world. While the kids played happily in the yard, the parents shared conversations about raising children.

In what felt like no time at all, an hour had passed. I’m so glad everyone enjoyed it. We hope to see you again next week! (＝ﾟωﾟ)ﾉ🌟🌟🌟
